BDS Competes At Meridian Invite On April 5

Feeling the sting of multiple track team members attending State FFA activities, the Bruning-Davenport/Shickley boys finished in sixth place in the team standings at the 2017 Meridian Track & Field Invite.  The Eagle girls landed in 10th place in the team standings at the 10-team meet.
Earning points for the BDS girls in Friend on April 5 were the 1,600-meter relay squad, fifth, 4:56.10; Courtney Kamler, third, pole vault, 8-0; and Mikeala Andersen, fifth, pole vault, 7-0.
Earning points for the Eagle boys on April 5 in Friend were Hunter Krehnke, third, 400-meter dash, 54.49 seconds; Garrett Schardt, sixth, 400-meter dash, 54.81; Krehnke, first, 110-meter hurdles, 15.13 seconds; Krehnke, fourth, 300-meter hurdles, 43.10; 400-meter relay, fourth, 49.38; 1,600-meter relay, sixth, 4:13.72; Noel Gines, second, long jump, 19-2; and John Christensen, third, shot put, 42-5.50.
