Mick, Krehnke Pace BDS Boys

Hunter Krehnke and Thomas Mick paced the Bruning-Davenport/Shickley boys' effort at the 2017 Crossroads Conference (CRC) Track and Field Championships.
 Krehnke zipped to victory in the 110-meter hurdles by covering the course in Osceola in 15.19 seconds.  Mick bested the field in the pole vault by setting a New Meet Record after clearing 15-feet.  This mark is currently best in Class D and in the top 5 in the state in all classes.  Mick also placed third in the 300-meter hurdles on May 1 in a time of 42.8 seconds.
The Eagles scored 41 points at the meet to land in seventh place in the team standings.  The BDS boys 400-meter relay squad of Mick, Krehnke, Brett Holtzen and Garret Schardt placed fourth, 45.86; and the Eagle boys 3,200-meter relay team of Karson Dickson, Holtzen, Schardt and Kameron Dickson earned fifth place, 9:05.01.  Chris Lichti placed fifth in the pole vault by clearing 12-0 and teammate John Christensen took sixth in the shot put with a heave of 43-3.50.  The BDS boys 1,600-meter relay squad placed third in Osceola with a clocking of 3:39.85.
