Geneva Library News-Summer Activities

Summer is a very busy time at the library, with many programs and activities scheduled throughout the week. The summer reading theme this year is “Build A Better World” with books and activities relating to building, construction, conservation and volunteering.
Every Tuesday, a special toddler storytime is held at 10 a.m., before the library opens to the public. There are stories read aloud, games to play and time to socialize with other toddlers.
Every Wednesday throughout June and July, from 3 to 4 p.m., Nebraska Extension staff and library staff have fun activities for preschool age children and up. Upcoming activities include roller coasters, castles and the Three Little Pigs.
On Wednesday, July 19, at 3 p.m., Raptor Recovery, from Fontenelle Forest in Omaha, will be presenting “Raptor-ology," a free program with live birds. This program is open to all ages, who will learn about owls, hawks and other raptors, as well as the conservation of these wild birds.
Personal and small group 3-D printing classes are available each Thursday from 11 a.m. to noon. Contact library staff to schedule a day or two that fits in your busy calendar.
Family Game Night will be held twice more this summer: July 13 and August 10. Always held from 6 to 8 p.m., this free event features many board, card and dice games for families and friends to play old favorites or to try new ones.
LEGO® night is held the fourth Thursday of each month: June 22, July 27 and August 24, also from 6 to 8 p.m.
