Schropfer New Scoutmaster

The Geneva Rotary Club and Boy Scout Troop No. 175 are pleased to announce the selection of a new Scoutmaster.  Scoutmaster Glen Loontjer resigned after 10 years leading the troop as it added several assistant scoutmasters, grew to be a larger troop of young men and produced many Eagle Scouts.
Georgia Schropfer is the new Scoutmaster. Georgia has served as assistant scoutmaster for five years, but comes to the troop with many years of scouting experience. She served the Geneva/Fairmont area as Girl Scout leader for more than 30 years, the Fairmont Cub Scout Pack for 12 years, served on the district level in several positions and was on staff for Wood Badge training. Georgia is ready to serve the youth in Troop  No. 175 and asks for the community’s continued support of the program.
The Scouts and leaders of Troop No. 175 are appreciative of the wonderful turnout at the July 4th pancake feed.   Everyone’s support insures many scouts will have help paying for scout badges and camp this next year.
