Fillmore Central started out Friday receiving the ball with a 17-yard kickoff return.  The first drive ended with a 4th and 4 turnover on downs with an incomplete pass after an eight-play drive deep into Wood River’s territory.  After a three-and-out by the FC defense, the second drive was plagued by a holding penalty, two sacks, and a 4th and 44.

"Wood River’s quarterback had a career night in which the previous two games he struggled to have a completion percentage above 20 percent," Panther coach Mitch Lockhart noted.
Wood River lead the contest 27-7 at halftime and 42-7 after three periods.
FC quarterback Kole Karcher completed 10-of- 17 attempts for 149 yards and three TDs.  Jake Stoner carried the ball 17 times for 69 yards, completed his only passing attempt for 30 yards, and had five receptions for 80 yards in the 48-20 loss.
Seth Kenley rushed six times for 37 yards.  Parker Trowbridge gained 22 yards on seven carries.
Three games into his freshman season, Stoner is averaging 131 total yards per contest.  Karcher is averaging 115 yards passing per contest in 2017.
The Panther defense was lead by Riley Moses who had three solo tackles, four assisted tackles, four tackles for loss and two sacks.  Josh Hanson had six solo tackles and one INT.
