Timberwolves 20-5; In CRC Semi-finals

Exeter-Milligan played Shelby/Rising City Monday night in the semi-finals of the 2017 CRC Volleyball Tournament. With a win over the 10-15, Class C-2 Huskies, the 20-5 Timberwolves play the winner of the Meridian and Bruning-Davenport/ Shickley semi-final match on Tuesday night in York.
E-M advanced to the semi-final with a 25-19, 25-21 win over Cross County on Saturday afternoon.
Katherine White and Kate Jansky both belted nine kills against the Cougars.  Tara Mueller added seven terminations and Hannah Beethe had five kills.  Anna Sluka put up 21 ace sets and Daisy Kanode had four assists.
Jansky registered two ace blocks and White and Mueller both had one.  Sluka paced the defense with eight digs.  White had seven digs and Beethe had six in the win.
Last Tuesday, E-M rolled past High Plains 25-11, 25-11, 25-13.
White drilled 20 kills against the Storm and Beethe crunched a dozen down.  Mueller smacked eight kills and Jansky had six.  Sluka put up 23 assists.
Mueller tallied two ace blocks and Jansky had one.  Kanode served up four aces and Sluka ripped three.  White had a pair of ace serves.
On Thursday, E-M downed East Butler 25-14, 25-22, 25-11, on the road.
White slammed down 14 kills and Beethe nailed 11 kills against the Tigers.  Mueller added eight terminations and Jansky had four.  Beethe and Jansky both belted three ace serves and Sluka, Kanode and Mueller all had a pair of aces.  Mueller also tallied three ace blocks and Jansky had two.
