Whippets Race To Win Over FC

Fillmore Central was unable to keep its momentum  going from its first win of this season last week and was soundly defeated by 2-2 Minden 41-7 Friday night on the road.  The Whippets led the contest 21-0 at intermission and 35-0 after three quarters of play. FC managed a score in the final period.
The Minden offense cranked out 409 yards rushing behind a 171-yard performance from tailback Eduardo Gonzalez. The 1-3 Panthers were limited to 49 yards rushing on 32 attempts.  Jacob Stoner rushed 16 times for 21 yards.  Brock Tatro carried the ball five times for 18 yards.  Stoner was just 1-for-7 passing for seven yards.  Tatro had the lone reception for FC.
Riley Moses paced the Panther defense with 10 tackles, including two for a loss and a sack.  Carson Tatro logged nine tackles and had an interception.  Stoner made nine tackles including two for a loss.  Conner Asche had a tackle for a loss for FC.  Parker Uldrich was in on eight tackles and Koby Head was credited for nine tackles for the Panthers.

FC travels to winless Superior this Friday night. While facing quality opposition, the 0-4 Wildcats have been outscored 186-29 this season.
