Boy Scout Troop 175 Court of Honor

Boy Scout Troop 175 of Geneva held a Court of Honor in September at the Lion's Club. A prayer was offered by Jerad Switzer before the pot luck supper. SPL Sam Baysinger called the business meeting to order and called the color guard forward. Scoutmaster Georgia had announcements and asked for the feedback about highway cleanup and the troop camp out. Everyone joined in a game designed to get scouts thinking about merit badges that they might try.
Sam presided over the Court of Honor with Georgia congratulating each scout or palm. Their parents received the rank and presented it to the scout. Cole Williams met with and passed the Eagle board of review three days earlier.
The following scouts received merit badges:
Nicholas Andrews, Search and Rescue and five-year star; Sam Baysinger, Hiking, Veterinary Medicine and four-year star; Ashtin Clark, swimming; Zach Coash, one-year star; Brock Godown, Communication and five-year star; Cody Griess, Auto Maintenance, Communication, Family Life, Inventing, Personal Fitness, Photography, Swimming, Veterinary Medicine and two-year star; Alexander Matthies, five-year star; Wyatt Rayburn, one-year star; Ethan Reinsch, bronze palm, gold palm and six-year star; Jared Stephens, Citizenship in the Community, Citizenship in the Nation, Veterinary Medicine and three-year star; Hayden Switzer, Camping, Hiking, Personal Fitness and Veterinary Medicine; Cole Williams, five-year star; Kellan Wusk, Cooking, Veterinary Medicine and three-year star.
Adult leaders received service stars: Angela Baysinger, four years; Georgia Schropfer, seven years; and Erick Switzer, five years. Sam Baysinger and Angela Baysinger were recognized for earning Brotherhood in the Order of the Arrow.
Scoutmaster Georgia gave brief comments and Senior Patrol Leader Sam asked the color guard to retire the colors.
