FC Nearly Rides Herd On Bison

Fillmore Central led Central City 14-8 on Friday night at half time.  The Panthers controlled the third quarter and owned a 20-15 advantage heading into the final period in the muck and the mud in Geneva.
The Bison passing attack finally clicked in the third period and 6-2 Central City pulled out a 21-20 victory in what was FC's Homecoming Game.
Panther Jake Stoner dotted the "I" in the Maryland I for FC and rushed 23 times for 155 yards and two scores for the upset-minded Panthers.  Trenton Srajhans carried the ball 15 times for 40 yards and a score for FC.  The Panthers churned out 173 yards on the ground.
The FC passing attack struggled in the off going.  The Panthers were just 1-for-7 for seven yards through the air.
Koby Head and Riley Moses paced the Panther defense. Both were in on 10 tackles.  Moses had four tackles for a loss and one sack, as the Husker recruit spent most of the night in the Bison backfield.  Stoner was in on eight stops—and one sack and one tackle for a loss.  Stoner also went over 500 yards rushing for the season.
Maliki Mitchell had eight tackles and Carson Tatro was in on seven stops with one for a loss.  Gavin Hinrichs was in on five tackles with one for a loss.

FC closes out the season at Fairbury this Friday.
