Fillmore Central won one dual and lost four at Saturday's Centennial Dual Invite. Open weight divisions were the nemesis for the Panthers, as FC actually held a 2-1 advantage in the matches that were actually contested.

FC lost a narrow 33-32 decision to Platteview. Picking up wins for the Panthers against the Trojans were Davis Jacobson (106), Luke DeLong (160), Trevor Adams (182), Matt Wright (195) and Zach Ekeler (285).

Fairbury got past FC in a close dual—42-34. Picking up victories for the Panthers against the Jeffs were Tyler Manka (138), DeLong, Adams, Wright, Cole Curtis (220) and Ekeler.

The Panthers were defeated by Hastings Adams Central 48-27. Earning wins against the Patriots for FC were DeLong, Caleb Smith (170), Adams, Wright and Ekeler.

Centennial defeated the Panthers 48-27 on January 14. Picking up wins for FC against the host Broncos were Wyatt Schiermeyer (132), Manka, DeLong, Adams and Ekeler. Panther Jarrod Hinrichs pinned Bryce Wright of Centennial in JV action at 285 pounds.

FC defeated Bishop Neumann 42-34 at Utica. Earning victories against the Cavaliers on Saturday for Panthers were Jacobson, Schiermeyer, DeLong, Smith, Adams, Wright, Curtis and Ekeler.

"I felt we did an exceptional job at the Centennial Duals," FC coach Ryan Komenda said. "We only won one dual but we won 30 matches and lost 15. Luke DeLong, Trevor Adams and Zach Ekeler all went 5-0. Luke improved to 32-0. Trevor is 29-4 and Zach is now 28-4. They will all be Wrestlers of the Week."

The Panther head coach also tabbed Jake Davenport and Cole Curtis as his squad's Practice Wrestlers of the Week.

FC is in action again this Friday afternoon as they travel to Hebron to compete in the Thayer Central Wrestling Invite. Wrestling is slated to begin at 4 p.m. on January 19.
