Molly Gotschall, a junior at Columbus Lakeview High School, left her stamp on the record books this season by setting two state records.
The Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) recently confirmed Gotschall set the Class C-1 record for digs in a season and digs per match in a season.
Gotschall had 545 digs last season and averaged 17.58 per match to punch her place in the record books. Her total easily surpassed the previous school record.
Gotschall was the anchor of the Lakeview defense last season. The Viqueens went 19-12 and advanced to the C1-4 Subdistrict final.
Gotschall is the daughter of Matt and Michele Gotschall of Columbus and the granddaughter of John and Mary O'Brien of Geneva.
