BDS Eagles Crush Heartland Huskies 53-18
The Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Eagles crushed the Heartland Huskies 53-18 in eight-man football action Friday, Oct. 12 at Henderson in a game where the Eagles used a balanced offense to lead the attack.
“We continue to work on special teams,” said Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Coach Mark Rotter. “Our field goal unit has made great progress over the season. We are 5-5 with kicks, including Ryan’s 44 yard FG.”
The Eagles led 37-0 after the first quarter, went into the locker room up 53-8 at halftime, and then held a lead of 53-10 going into the final period.
Bruning-Davenport/Shickley improved its season mark to 6-1.
Grant Norder scored 3TD’s and 2 PAT’s, Wyatt Schoenholz caught 2TD passes, Ryan Tegtmeier rushed for a TD, kicked 2 PAT’s and kicked a field goal; Luke Christensen caught a TD pass and Chris Rohr caught a PAT.
“Our offense has been working to improve passing,” said Coach Ardissono. “For the season, the team has completed over 72 per cent of our passes compared to 50 per- cent from our opponents.”
