The Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Eagles blanked the Freeman Falcons 36-0 in eight-man football action Friday, Sept. 23 at Bruning in a game where the Eagles dominated the scoreboard. Their record now stands at 3-1.
“We’ve made great strides over the last two weeks,” said Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Coach Shipley. “We finally played a complete game in all phases.”
“Sophomore Wyatt Schoenholz is getting some confidence receiving the ball,” said Coach Ardissono. “He caught four passes for 89 yards.”
The Eagles jumped in front 14-0 after the first quarter, went into the locker room up 20-0 at halftime, and then led 36-0 after the third period.
Bruning-Davenport/Shickley had four players who shared the scoring. Ryan Tegtmeier ran for 2TDs, threw 2TD passes, caught a PAT and ran for a PAT; Kendrick Holeman ran for TD and a PAT; Wyatt Schoenholz and Luke Christensen each caught a TD pass.
“Luke Christensen gave the offense nice field position with a 21 yard punt return and a 33 yard kick return,” said Coach Rotter.
