The Bruning-Davenport boys finished in second place in the team standings at the 2019 Exeter-Milligan Track Invite in McCool Junction. The Eagles combined to score 127 points—eight behind the Mustangs and 22 more than Giltner. The Timberwolf boys scored 74 points, which landed them in fifth place at the seven-team invite.
The E-M girls were third in the team standings on Tuesday, April 16. The Timberwolves scored 100 points. Giltner was the team champions with 161 and McCool Junction was second with 100. The BDS girls were fourth with 75.
Timberwolf Katherine White won two events last week. The E-M senior won the 100-meter hurdles in 16.08 seconds and the 100-meter dash in 13.43 seconds. The Timberwolf girls were also dominant in the relay events—Cameran Jansky, Kate Jansky, Jaiden Papik and Katelyn Babula, first, 800-meter relay, 2:02.29; Kayla Geiger, Katelyn Babula, Emma Olsen and Maddie Luzum, 400-meter relay, second, 56.62; Luzum, Babula, Kiah Songster and C. Jansky, 1,600-meter relay, fourth, 5:01.84; Songster, Macy Due, Georgia Meyer and Natalie Staskal, 3,200-meter relay, third, 15:07.31.
Eagle Macy Kamler was second in the shot put (33-8.75) and third in the discus (98-4) in McCool Junction. Mariah Sliva cleared 407 to place second in the high jump for BDS.
The BDS boys won four events in McCool Junction. Eagles Nolan Weber and John Christensen went one-two in the discus with throws of 140-7 and 135-6, respectively. Christensen won the shot put on April 16 with a heave of 48-2.75. Aaron Mick cleared 13-3 to win the boys pole vault. Kameron Dickson capped the gold rush with a first-place finish in the 400-meter dash in 53.91 seconds.
Timberwolf speedster Casey Jindra zipped to top honors in the 100-meter dash in 11.43 seconds. Teammate Peytan Brandt was first in the 110-meter hurdles in 16.79 seconds. The E-M boys team of Brandt, Blake Steuben, Luis Jaegerman and Mitchell Manning were runners-up in the 800-meter relay.
Eagle Dalton Kleinschmidt was second in the high jump (5-5.1). Teammate Raleigh Shipley was runner-up in the triple jump (35-8.50). Timberwolf Spencer Pribyl was second in the 800-meter run (2:15.34). The Eagle 1,600-meter relay squad of Weber, Logan Schroeder, Kyle Ardissono and Dickson was second in the event in 3:51.34.
