Exeter-Milligan improved to 21-3 on the season with a three-set victory over High Plains in Milligan. The Timberwolves, who are ranked No. 9 in points in Class D-1, defeated the Storm 25-17, 25-11, 25-11, last Tuesday, October 9.
Both Jackie Luzum and Jennifer Pribyl smacked 11 kills in the triumph. Megan Zwickl nailed seven kills in the win and Malinda Hall added five terminations. Amber Pribyl slapped down three kills and both Taylor Erdkamp and Marissa Howard connected on two kills. Erdkamp posted 35 ace sets in the match.
Zwickl slammed three ace serves for the Timberwolves and Madison Horne, Luzum and Erica Yound all crunched three ace serves. Horne and Yound paced the E-M defense with eight digs each. Luzum and Zwickl both tallied six digs. Erdkamp and Kylie Briske both had five. A. Pribyl and J. Pribyl both had their hands in two blocks. Hall and Luzum both notched an ace block.
The Timberwolves are the No. 3 seed in this week’s Crossroads Conference (CRC) Volleyball Tournament. E-M, which will be seeking its fourth consecutive tourney title in York, opens play on Tuesday against 9-10 Osceola.
