Fillmore Central led Gibbon 17-2 with five minutes and rolled to a 60-27 victory on Friday in Geneva. The 14-4 Panthers (No. 4 in wildcard points in Class C-2) opened SNC Tournament play on Tuesday at home before, more-than-likely, tangling with Centennial again in one SNC semi-final. The Panthers fell to the Broncos, 50-47, on January 24 in a postponed contest. The SNC girls final starts at 6 p.m., this Saturday in Utica.
Erin Schmidt scored 14 points in the win against Gibbon. Both Lexi Theis and Jackie Schelkopf had 10 points. Both Abby Nichols and Macy Scott pumped in eight points. Halle Theis netted seven points and Rhiannon Shaner had three. FC was up at halftime, 43-10.
