Flower shops offer a distinct uniqueness due to the beauty and all of the magic that is held within them—as flowers have the power to deliver much happiness and joy during good times, but also have the enduring force to uplift, bring peace and help mend a broken soul during difficult times. A new floral shop in Milligan not only offers a wide variety of these treasures through bouquets and arrangements, but also a unique boutique showcasing clothing, rustic signs, unusual gift items, antiques, crafts, leather jewelry and more—to satisfy everyone’s taste.
The “Rustic Twig Floral & Willow Boutique” of Milligan opened in November 2018 in a charming late 1800s building located at 515 Main Street. The co-owners are Connie Baller and Blair Pribyl of Milligan, who, together, bring 25 years of experience to the business.
The “one-stop gift shop” offers fresh flowers and silk ones daily for funerals (casket, standing, urn, heart, wreath, cross, lantern and plants), weddings, Mother’s Day, Christmas, prom, birthday, anniversary, get well and “just because.”
One day, Baller decided she needed a change in her life.
“I had worked at Oak Creek Floral of Lincoln for a year and was in my eighth year at Geneva Floral when I decided it was time to go out on my own,” Baller said. “I mentioned it to my friend, Blair Pribyl, who thought it would be a fun, new experience for both of us.”
Pribyl said she has always had a love for flowers.
“My mom and I did wedding floral arranging, which I loved, so I decided to take it one step further,” Pribyl added.
