Flipping the burgers…

The Geneva Fire Department and the Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) responded to a single-vehicle rollover accident last Tuesday morning on U.S. Highway 81 just south of the State Highway 74 junction west of Strang. Lester A. Bryant, 61, of Slater, Mo., was driving southbound on the highway when he reached down to put his coffee cup away, according to a FCSO accident report. He then lost control of the vehicle and it rolled onto its side, coming to rest in the west ditch, according to FCSO deputy Daryl Callenius. The 2004 Kenworth semi-tractor trailer owned by Gencom, Inc. of Marshall, Mo., was pulling a trailer load of boxed beef patties. Bryant was transported to the Fillmore County Hospital where he was treated and released.
