Geneva Library Food Drive

In partnership with Blue Valley Community Action and the 10/11 Can Care-A-Van, the Geneva Public Library invites you to donate canned food or other types of non-perishables to the library during the month of May. All donations will be given to the 10/11 Can Care-A-Van when they are in Geneva on June 12. Remember that all donations stay in our community.
The library encourages you to bring a can of food when you attend any of the library’s exciting programs during May. Game Night will be Thursday, May 14, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. You have the opportunity to try your hand at over 60 different card, board and dice games. LEGO® Club will be Thursday, May 28, from 3:30-7:30 p.m. Both events are otherwise free and open to all ages.
In addition to these event dates, the library encourages you to donate canned food or non-perishables in our first “Food For Fines” drive. The library has over $2,000 in outstanding fines. For every non-perishable item donated, the library will forgive $1 in fines. For example, if you have $3 in overdue fines, just bring in three canned goods or other non-perishables.
Don’t have any fines at the library? Please feel free to donate anyway, as all items are appreciated.
