High winds, rain and hail hit the village, located in the northeastern part of Fillmore County, beginning at about 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday night. Residents report that the hail, which ranged from pea-size to nearly golf-ball size, lasted for nearly a half hour. Many homes experienced damage to siding, roofs and windows in the village. Leaves cluttered the streets Wednesday morning and many yards featured broken tree limbs and downed trees. “Looks like time to do a lot of raking,” Exeter resident Doug Motis said.
