Live Healthy Nebraska 100-Day Challenge

Get your team together now and join “Thick and Tired of it”, “Mission Slimpossible” and 500 other teams enrolled to participate in the 2011 Live Healthy Nebraska 100-Day Challenge, which begins Thursday, Jan. 20. The program motivates individuals to adopt habits that lead to healthy weight-loss and increased physical activity. Humorous team names are encouraged.

Participants in the Challenge receive accredited weekly tips in nutrition and physical activity as well as thousands of incentives and prizes for logging their progress. A sortable leaderboard allows teams to compete in company, community, statewide and national competitions.

Besides the weekly tips, each participant receives a Live Healthy shirt, an annual subscription to a healthy-lifestyle magazine and access to nutrition and workout planners. The first 30,000 entrants also receive a coupon booklet good for more than $50 in discounts at Hy-Vee stores. The cost is $20 per person, or $15 with entry coupon, available at Hy-Vee.com.

More than 80 companies and communities have set up group codes to track their members’ progress. The Live Healthy program provides statistics and reports throughout the program. Team registration remains open until Feb. 1, and late-registering teams are allowed to log progress from Jan. 20 forward. Enter online or get more information at www.livehealthynebraska.org.
