Panther Boys At SNC Meet

Kole Karcher paced the Fillmore Central boys at the 2017 Southern Nebraska Conference (SNC) Track and Field Championships.  The Panther junior placed second in the 1,600-meter run in Centennial in a time of 4-minutes, 50.03-seconds—eight seconds quicker than his best time this season.
The Panther boys amassed 22 points on May 1.  Sutton was the meet team champions with 90 points and Heartland was runner-up with 74.  FC finished in ninth position at the 10-team meet.
Additional scoring for the Panther boys was turned in by:  400-meter relay squad of Aaron Poppert, Adam Hoarty, Chandler Schelkopf and Christian Lovan, fourth, 46.60; 1,600-meter relay team of Poppert, Junior Alcantar, Karcher and Schelkopf, fifth, 3:46.60; Hoarty, high jump, third-tie, 5-8; Schelkopf, pole vault, fifth, 12-0; Hoarty, long jump, sixth, 18-9.50.
