Relays, Brandt, Jindra, White, Take Gold At 2019 P.U. Classic In McCool Junction

The Exeter-Milligan girls and boys both finished third in the team standings at the Paul Underwood Track Invite on Thursday, May 2, in McCool Junction.  The Timberwolf girls put 85 points on the board, while the E-M boys notched 92 points.  Giltner was the girls team champions last week, while McCool Junction came in second.  The Mustang boys were the boys team champions and Giltner was runner-up.
E-M won five individual events on May 2.  The Timberwolf boys captured first in the 3,200-meter relay in 9 minutes, 18.26 seconds.  Team members are Jackson Beethe, Mitchell Manning, Clint Oldehoeft and Luis Jaegermann.  Peytan Brandt won the 110-meter hurdles in 16.39 seconds.  Casey Jindra raced to victory in the 100-meter dash in 11.34 seconds.
The Timberwolf girls also won the 3,200-meter relay in McCool Junction with a winning time of 10:28.37.  Team members are Kate Jansky, Cammie Harrison, Jaiden Papik and Cameran Jansky.  E-M senior Katherine White struck gold in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.58 seconds.
Additional placings for the E-M girls last week include:  Briana Capek, sixth in the discus; Harrison, third in the high jump; Maddie Luzum, third in the pole vault; White, second in the 100-meter dash; Katelyn Babula, fourth in the 400-meter dash; Harrison, second in the 3,200-meter run; K, Jansky, third in the 800-meter run; Kayla Geiger, fifth in the 800-meter run; White, second in the 300-meter hurdles; Papik, third in the 1,600-meter run; 400-meter relay team of Geiger, K. Jansky, Emma Olsen and Luzum, third; and the 1,600-meter relay squad of Luzum, Harrison, Babula and Anna Sluka, fourth.
Scoring points for the Timberwolf boys on May 2 included: Blake Steuben, fourth in the long jump; Beethe, fourth in the high jump; Spencer Pribyl, second in the discus, 122-11; Pribyl, third in the 400-meter dash, 55.46 seconds; Jindra, second in the 200-meter dash, 24.12 seconds; Pribyl, second in the 800-meter run, 2:12.87; Oldehoeft, fourth in the 800-meter run; Beethe, second in the 300-meter hurdles; Oldehoeft, second in the 1,600-meter run; 400-meter relay squad of Beethe, Manning, Pribyl and Jindra, third, 47.8 seconds; and the 1,600-meter team of Oldehoeft, Jindra, Brandt and Jaegermann, third.
E-M will particpate in the D-1 District Meet this Friday, May 10, in Pawnee City.
