Schademann Selected For Tournament
By Signal Staff
Noting that the Nebraska high school golf season was canceled abruptly due to the COVID-19 crisis, Nebraska’s two prominent golf organizations, the Nebraska Golf Association and the Nebraska Section PGA, have created a very special event—the 2020 Boys All-State Invitational. The event will take place this Thursday, July 23, at The Club at Indian Creek, the site of this years’ Pinnacle Bank Championship.
Fillmore Central sophomore-to-be Alex Schademann has been selected to participate in the tournament, which will feature the state’s top 72 high-school aged golfers competing in an 18-hole competition. Schademann was selected for his strong Nebraska Junior Golf performances the past several years.
Alex and family appreciates his employer, the village of Fairmont and the Fairmont Swimming Pool staff, especially Wanda Moses, for allowing him to have the ability to attend his junior golf events with a flexible work schedule. Without this flexibility, Alex wouldn’t have been able to earn enough junior golf points, which allowed him to be nominated to participate in this very special tournament.
