Fillmore Central landed in fifth place in the Class C-1 team standings with 60 points at the 2021 NSAA State Speech Championships last week in Kearney. Panther Wyatt Nun was crowned State Champion in Extemp. Speaking on Thursday, March 18, at Kearney High School. The FC OID team of Hunter Verhage, Kaylea Geiser, Zander Johnson, Tyler Cumpston and Emily Bonilla were also named State Champions in their event at State. The pair of Connor Asche and Travis Meyer placed sixth in Duet Acting in Kearney and Nun also placed sixth in Persuasive Speaking at State.
