Homecoming 2019 kicks-off in Shickley

Members of the Shickley community and the surrounding area are encouraged to attend all of the Shickley High School Homecoming events, which started this week.
This year’s SHS Homecoming Court consists of seniors Regan Alfs, daughter of Kari Jo and Bryan Alfs, Raegan Fiala, daughter of Dana and Lance Fiala, Kaylee Noel, daughter of Monica and Reg Noel, Joshua Swartzendruber, son of Linda and Jon Swartzendruber, Zachary Mosier, son of Kathy and Matt Mosier, and Austin Plock, son of Michelle Sorsen and John Plock.

This year’s Homecoming theme is “Shickley–The Ultimate Paradise.” The annual Homecoming Parade starts at 1 p.m., this Friday afternoon. It will begin at the school, go through downtown, turn east on Railroad Street and return to the school on Pear Street. Spectators are encouraged to watch the parade at any point along the route. A Pep-rally to cheer on the fall sports teams will be held immediately after the parade in the school’s main gym. The Homecoming Coronation will begin immediately after the conclusion of the Eagle Football game Friday night in Shickley. BDS hosts Palmer. Kick-off is slated for 7 p.m.
