Virgil Biegert Public Library Summer Makeover

The Virgil Biegert Public Library in Shickley got a summer makeover—installing carpet to go along with a fresh coat of interior paint. While things are different with social distancing, patrons still come in to check out the new selections and old favorites. Summer reading points for kids translated into cookies from 5 Loaves as goals are reached. Nine students are active participants. Librarian Carolyn Schlegel reshelves returns in the children’s section (above) near the new bookcases that display the most popular series books.
