State High School Football Championships Air on NET

Watch high school football teams from across Nebraska compete in championship match-ups when NET, Nebraska’s PBS & NPR Stations, broadcasts and livestreams coverage of the “NSAA State High School Football Championships.”  

NET will televise the Class C2 finals, Ord vs. Archbishop Bergan, live from Heedum Field in Fremont at 3 p.m. CT, Friday, Nov. 20. After the C2 game, NET will televise the Class A finals, Elkhorn South vs. Westside live from Phelps Field in Omaha at 7 p.m. CT. These games will be on television and livestreamed at netNebraska.org and the NET Nebraska App.  

Sportscaster Larry Punteney will offer the play-by-play action of the Class A game, with Damon Benning giving the color commentary and Sean Callahan offering sideline reports. Donny Baarns will offer the play-by-play for the Class C2 game and Jan Moore will give the color commentary.  

The other four championships (Class B, C1, D1, D2), will be livestreamed at netNebraska.org and the NET Nebraska App. Class D2 Sandhills/Thedford vs. Bruning-Davenport/Shickley and D1 Dundy County – Stratton vs. Burwell, will start at 5 p.m. CT, Class C1 Adams Central vs. Pierce will start at 5:30 p.m. CT and Class B Aurora vs. Elkhorn will start at 6 p.m. CT.  

Class B, C1, D1 and D2 games will be recorded for television broadcast at a later date in December, to be announced.  “NSAA State High School Football Championships” is a production of NET Sports, Nebraska’s Home for Sports, in cooperation with the Nebraska School Activities Association.
