Teaming Up Against Cancer For Coach Rose

An aggressive cancer has longtime Geneva/Fillmore Central High School principal and coach Jim Rose held up in Omaha at the hospital at this point. Jim and Pam’s daughter Cassie Ivy (Geneva High School Class of 1998) knows a lot of local people would like to know about Jim’s condition.
According to Cassie, her dad’s health has declined rapidly. She goes on to note her dad was most recently the high school principal at Fillmore Central/Geneva until he retired two years ago and coached basketball for some of those years. He also was an educator/coach at Holdrege, Nemaha Valley and Campbell high schools over the years. Jim and Pam reside east of Geneva—just northeast of the Fortigen fertilizer plant.
Ivy and family have teamed up with Small Town Famous for a fund-raiser/honor T-shirt and Bracelet purchase program. The beginning of a recent social media post from Ivy and family reads: We wanted to let our family and friends know that our dad, Jim Rose, is in the fight of his life. An aggressive cancer has returned, and we would appreciate all the prayers and thoughts you can send. We have also set up a fundraiser, Teaming Up Against Cancer for Coach Rose, as T-shirts and bracelets are for purchase at:

Orders are due by June 10. Shipping is available, or if you’d rather pick up your items in Geneva after the shirts are printed and received, use Code ROSE at checkout—we will announce a pick-up location and date at a later time.
In this time of COVID-19 isolation, a letter or message of a memory or encouragement would also be appreciated. The letter or note can be sent to Jim (and Pam) Rose, 1409 Rd 14, Geneva NE 68361.
We appreciate your prayers and support during this difficult time. (And thanks for the messages, kind words and support we’ve already received.)
