Timberwolves Have Busy Week

Exeter-Milligan went 3-4 during a very busy week of volleyball. The 4-6 Timberwolves split games at triangulars in McCool Junction and Milligan and went 1-2 at the Friend Volleyball Invite on Saturday.
E-M fell to Giltner 27-25, 25-20 on Tuesday, September 10 at home. Cammie Harrison smacked a dozen kills and Briana Capek had six. Cameran Jansky tallied four kills and Jaiden Papik nailed three. Emma Olsen recorded 26 assists.
Jozie Kanode belted two ace serves and Anna Sluka and Harrison both had one. Sluka paced the defense with 13 digs and Papik had 10. Harrison recorded seven digs and Olsen had four.
The Timberwolves also downed Osceola 25-10, 25-20 last Tuesday.
E-M rolled past McCool Junction 25-16, 25-10 on Thursday, September 12.
The Timberwolves fell to state-rated Meridian in the nightcap, 25-12, 25-11. Harrison tallied six kills. Papik and Jansky both had a pair of kills. Olsen tallied nine assists. Alexis Turrubiates recorded an ace block. Sluka had 12 digs and Papik had 10. Harrison belted an ace serve.
E-M began play in Friend on Saturday with a 26-24, 25-21, win over 6-4, Class C-2 Sutton.
The Timberwolves fell to Meridian for the second time in the week, 25-22, 25-15.
E-M lost to Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family 25-16, 25-16 on Saturday.

The Timberwolves are the eighth seed in the A Division of the 2019 MUDECAS Volleyball Tournament. E-M will open play in Beatrice against undefeated, top-seed Diller-Odell. Meridian and Johnson-Brock are on the other side of the bracket.
