Panthers Fall To Huskies

Shelby-Rising City defeated Fillmore Central 42-13.   Shelby/RC  mounted 393 yards of offense to Fillmore’s 256.  The Huskies were able to do most of the damage through the air completing 17-of-26 attempts for 213 yards and two passing TDs.  FC was able to almost double the time of possession; had 20 more offensive plays; and had more first downs but, had multiple drives stall out.
FC had offensive drives of 12 plays, nine, nine,16, nine, and 11 plays but was only able to put 13 points on the board.  Fillmore put the ball on the turf five times losing only one fumble but also gave up one interception.  Shelby/RC recovered an onside kick near the end of the second quarter and converted the possession into a touchdown and made the 2-point conversion swinging the momentum in their direction.  FC was never able to recover from that turn of events, according to Panther head coach Mitch Lockhart.
