No. 1 Eagles Roll Past Meridian

On a very dark harvest night, Bruning-Davenport/Shickley remained undefeated with a 44-14 win over Meridian.  The No. 1 state-rated Eagles led the contest 36-0 at halftime.
"Our Eagles continue to work extremely well together," BDS assistant coach Scott Shipley said.  "Caden Norder had a great night of running and got really solid blocking from his teammates.  Holden Stengel anchored a very solid defensive effort that swarmed to the ball."
Norder rushed six times for 104 yards and three scores for the Eagles.  Thomas Mick scored twice for BDS and had 45 total yards of offense. John Christensen passed for 33 yards and rushed for another 33 on Friday.  Dominic Quinones scored once for the Eagles.  Stengel booted four (4-for-4) extra points.  Dylan Domeier and Trevor Whitesell both converted PAT runs.
Dalton Kleinschmidt rushed for 15 yards and Logan Schroeder had 14 yards on the ground.  Karson Dickson hauled in a catch for 16 yards.  Stengel had seven solo tackles in the game.
The victory over the Mustangs was Shipley's 100th win as a football coach.  BDS tangles with 7-1 Lawrence/Nelson this Friday.
